THE FOREST – LIFE Nature Library
The LIFE Magazine Nature Library was a collection of hardcover books approaching topics related to the natural world that was written for educated laymen of the 1960s. I took upon the challenge of redesigning THE FOREST, originally published in 1961.
My main goal with this book was to take a more elegant approach to design than I was used to, as well as providing you, the reader, with an alternative vision of the forest, something different from the usual “light greenery” we have gotten used to. To me, it was a step out of my comfort zone, but also into a new world full of experimentation and discoveries.
